TORCHBEARER

The Torchbearer offers versatile performance in a variety of road conditions. Our progressive tread design provides excellent grip and handling to support your town-line sprint while providing low rolling resistance for long days in the saddle.

The Torchbearer is available in both Tubeless Ready and tube-type constructions. The Tubeless Ready version utilizes Stage 4S Armor construction which combines three separate components of flat protection including a 120 TPI skin, a lightweight Nylon105 belt and our anti-cut deflecting skin to boost confidence and durability on long rides and in any weather. The tube type version uses a Stage 4 Armor construction which combines two separate components of flat protection including a lightweight puncture resistant Nylon105 belt and our anti-cut deflecting skin to boost confidence and durability on long rides and in any weather. And the 120 TPI casing in both versions reduces road vibration for long distance comfort over rougher terrain

This tire is designed for hook-bead (crochet) rims that follow current E.T.R.T.O. standards. This tire is not intended for use with hookless rims.

Why Acium

Acium, ("Ace i e um") might have started as a spelling error that stuck but once it became our business name it came to represent our passion as riders through our journey to curate products that align with our love for cycling upgrades. We want to bring you products that add value to your riding and be a business that raises the bar on what you expect.

The Acium Standard

We don’t list new brands until we’ve tried, tested it ourselves. We have high standards for our gear. Our commitment is bringing you the product and experience packaged, delivered and supported as if were our own new bike day. We know you’ve thought long & hard about it, and we want to overdeliver (Just looks at James' new TIME ADHX on our blog to see how much we love the gear we sell).

Rider Curated & Supported

Like you, we ride (or sometimes ride) because we enjoy the peripheral activities; post-coffee shop brew, club race banter, or retail therapy with new bike gear. When listing our brands, know that we’ve pondered, drooled and thought the same question you may have. As riders, ex pro and self-proclaimed weekend warriors, we have tested and experienced the products we list, making us poised to offer feedback or support based on your current or future cycling aspirations. We are not just an online bike store this is the part of the day where we try and repay our staff purchases off internally.

In Stock, Means In Stock

Like you, we like to shop online and have been let down countless times after placing an order only be told that the product must be ordered from a supplier. We hate that. It can mean lost weekends of riding or ruined holidays because critical parts haven’t arrived, even if you ordered them with plenty of time.

If a product is available for purchase online at Acium Sports, it is in stock and ready for dispatch from our local warehouse with no added waits to get your purchase to you.

Use our stock availability counter on the 'add to cart' section of the product to find out how many of that product(s) we have left in our warehouse.
