The anatomical shape of Spyd 2.0 has been designed to provide a comfortable ischial support in the different pedalling positions, especially for those who like to spend many hours on their bikes. Spyd 2.0 is the saddle for the rider who seeks the ideal balance between performance and comfort, and cares about aesthetics. The structure is reinforced with long carbon fibers, oriented lengthwise. The quality/price ratio makes Spyd 2.0 unique in its market segment.
SPYD is also available in the 2.0 version. The difference lies in the composition of the structural base… and in the price. The hot-melt resin is reinforced with a smaller percentage amount of carbon fibre.
To ensure that the saddle does not lose its rigidity and its shape over time, Repente’s R&D department has developed the LCF (Long Carbon Fibers) technology: instead of plain carbon fibre “chops”, longer carbon fibres are added to the resin which, thanks to a special injection process, are arranged to match the longitudinal flow of the material, until they form a sort of weave that increases the strength of the structure.
As demonstrated by the tests carried out, this technology minimises the risk of deformation or collapse of the shell (these faults are often associated with saddles made of plastic material).
The ergonomic features and materials used for the rail (T700 carbon fibre) and the padding (PU) are the same as in the TPX version. Prime and Spyd 2.0 also feature the patented RLS system for cover changing.
The LCF technology allows REPENTE to offer Prime and Spyd at an unbeatable value price point, ensuring at the same time low weight and a level of product efficiency among the highest in this market segment.

MULTI-SECTION CARBON RAIL In a REPENTE seat, the rail does not just have a supporting function. The horizontal elements of the carbon fibre structure have been designed with differential cross-sections – to achieve the right mix of rigidity and flexibility throughout the support plane. The rear ends have been flattened to provide more homogeneous rigidity to the most heavily stressed part of the seat, while the front ends merge into a single, sturdy structural element. Pressure applied to the seat in the various riding stages is always under control. Smooth lines are also at the front, where the two modulated section support arms harmoniously blend into the tip.
